Growing features
Suitable for different regions, in areas with a temperate and warm climate, the bushes are planted in open beds or under a film, in the northern regions, tomatoes can be planted in greenhouses and greenhouses. The fruits are perfectly stored, transportation is possible. Fruits harvested in the technical ripeness phase ripen successfully at home.
Korneevsky tomatoes are grown in seedlings. Before planting, the seeds are treated with a growth stimulant. The soil is made up of a mixture of garden soil with humus. The seedling soil is taken from the beds on which legumes, cabbage or carrots grew. It is convenient to sow seeds in peat pots with a diameter of no more than 10 cm. This method eliminates the need for subsequent picking.
Important: For successful germination, a temperature of about 25 degrees is required. The plantings are sprayed with warm water and covered with foil.
After the emergence of seedlings, the temperature in the room decreases, the containers with seedlings are moved to bright light. When the first pair of true leaves appears on the plants, they are fed with diluted complex fertilizer. A week before planting in the ground, young tomatoes begin to harden, taking them out into the open air, first for several hours, and then for the whole day.
In open ground, seedlings can be planted in the second half of May. Before planting, the soil in the beds is mixed with humus. The bushes are planted at a distance of 50 cm from each other, they are placed in the holes together with peat pots. In the early days, it is recommended to cover the tomatoes with foil. Young plants need to be watered with warm, settled water; between waterings, the topsoil should dry out. Tomatoes are fed every 2 weeks with a complex mineral fertilizer or a diluted mullein.
